Key Responsibilities

  • Confidentiality, Consent, and Consultation Privacy: Maintain strict confidentiality regarding all medical information disclosed during consultations and respect students’ preferences regarding accompanying adults.
  • Respect and Dignity: Interact with students in a respectful and appropriate manner, avoiding any derogatory or judgmental comments.
  • Consultation Outcome: Report back to Health Centre staff with the outcomes of consultations, including medical reports and prescriptions.
  • Professionalism: Maintain a high standard of professionalism, avoiding any comments that could undermine healthcare professionals’ competence.
  • Compensation: Receive hourly remuneration along with reimbursement for legitimate expenses incurred.
  • Transport Arrangements: Utilize school-arranged transport services for student appointments as personal vehicles are not permitted.

Additional Responsibilities

Engage in other tasks as reasonably required by the Associate Director of Healthcare Services and Associate Director of Nursing to ensure the effective operation of the Health Centre. You will also be expected to:

  • Implement all school policies and procedures, particularly those pertaining to the safeguarding of children and young people.
  • Uphold the School’s Guiding Principles and its ethos at all times.
