Your Mission
As we continue our rapid growth, we are eager to welcome a dedicated Accountant to contribute to the future of unmanned aviation.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Accounting:
- Independently process accounts payable, including the verification, coding, and posting of supplier invoices.
- Manage accounts receivable, including customer invoicing and monitoring incoming payments.
- Post daily financial transactions in the general ledger.
- Prepare journal entries and periodic accruals.
- Reconcile bank accounts, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and balance sheet accounts.
- Maintain the fixed asset register, including asset capitalization and depreciation.
- Prepare VAT returns and support other statutory reporting requirements.
- Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities.
- Ensure proper and complete accounting records, compliant with internal policies and applicable regulations.
- Financial Reporting & Controlling Support:
- Assist in maintaining regular management reports and financial dashboards to support data-driven decision-making.
- Analyze financial results and key performance indicators (KPIs), identifying risks and opportunities at the project, product, and customer levels.
- Oversee internal cost allocations, cost center reporting, and variance tracking.
- Contribute to cost control initiatives and monitor departmental spending, ensuring effective internal financial controls and procedures.
- Cost Accounting and Reporting:
- Support cost center and cost object accounting.
- Assist with internal cost allocations.
- Prepare standard reports and reconciliations.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes.
- Maintain and manage financial master data within the ERP system.
- Other Responsibilities:
- Act as the contact person for accounting-related matters within EDGE Finance and ANAVIA departments.
- Support internal and external audits.
- Contribute to the optimization and digitalization of finance processes.
- Perform general administrative tasks within the Finance Department.
Your Profile
- Education: Completed commercial vocational training, supplemented by further education in Finance and Accounting or equivalent qualification.
- Experience: Several years of experience in finance and accounting, with solid knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger accounting. Previous experience with month-end and year-end closing processes is essential; experience in cost accounting is an advantage.
- Skills: Excellent attention to detail and accuracy, strong organizational and time management abilities, and a structured, reliable, and proactive approach to work. High integrity and discretion when handling confidential information are crucial.
- Languages: Proficiency in both German and English, written and spoken.
- Competencies & Duties: Ability to work independently in a structured and reliable manner, ensure timely processing of accounting transactions, comply with financial policies and regulatory requirements, handle confidential information discreetly, and support the continuous improvement of finance processes.
