Automation Engineering Opportunity in Valais, Switzerland

Join a global market leader in the production and process support of active pharmaceutical ingredients across the chemical and biotechnology sectors. This fully onsite, 12-month contract role is based in the Valais area and focuses on delivering high-quality automation solutions within a regulated environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement Emerson DeltaV automation solutions for CAPEX projects.
• Configure control strategies, system interfaces, graphics, alarms, and process automation applications within the DeltaV environment.
• Prepare and maintain GxP-compliant engineering and validation documentation according to company standards.
• Support the integration of DeltaV systems with process equipment, PLCs, utility systems, MES, and other plant systems.
• Execute and document testing, commissioning, qualification, and startup activities, including FAT, SAT, and IQ/OQ.
• Troubleshoot and resolve automation, communication, and control system issues throughout the project lifecycle.
• Ensure compliance with GMP, data integrity, change management, and validation requirements.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Operations, Validation, Quality, and Project teams to deliver successful project outcomes.

Qualifications and Experience

• Relevant working/residency permit or Swiss/EU-Citizenship required.
• Degree in Automation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Hands-on experience with Emerson DeltaV system engineering and configuration.
• Experience developing and maintaining GxP documentation in regulated industries.
• Knowledge of commissioning, qualification, and validation processes.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Experience working within CAPEX project environments.
• German required; English proficiency preferred.
