Configuration Management Engineer

About the Company

ANAVIA specializes in the design, development, and manufacturing of vertical takeoff and landing (VTOL) systems with capacities of up to 500 kilograms. The company leads in industry advancements by providing unmanned helicopter systems tailored for diverse mission profiles, including Surveillance & Reconnaissance, Inspection, Mapping, and Cargo.

Key Responsibilities

• Product Configuration Management
  • Establish and maintain product configuration baselines for aircraft systems, subsystems, and components.
  • Manage Engineering Change Proposals, Orders, and Requests from approval to implementation.
  • Control engineering drawings, specifications, technical data packages, and product documentation releases.
  • Maintain accurate Bills of Materials, parts lists, and product structure hierarchies.
  • Ensure traceability between requirements, design data, test records, and as-built configurations.
• Change Management & Control
  • Lead Configuration Control Boards (CCBs) and evaluate proposed changes for various impacts.
  • Coordinate change implementation across teams including engineering, manufacturing, and quality assurance.
  • Manage engineering deviations and approvals, tracking efficiency of changes across units.
• Aviation Regulatory Compliance & Certification
  • Ensure all processes comply with aviation regulations and airworthiness requirements.
  • Support FAA, EASA, and other certifications, including the maintenance of conformity records.
  • Provide support for audits and configuration management assessments.
• Systems & Tools Management
  • Support Product Lifecycle Management systems and integrate configuration data with ERP systems.
  • Utilize requirements management tools to maintain traceability.
  • Generate configuration reports and dashboards for program management.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Interface with various teams across the organization to coordinate configuration requirements.
  • Support manufacturing with As Designed and As-Built configuration management.

Your Profile

• Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Experience: Proven track record in managing product configurations for aerospace systems, with a minimum of 3 years in configuration management preferred.
  • Skills: Strong knowledge of configuration management principles and engineering drawing standards. Proficiency in PLM and ERP systems for BOM management is essential.
  • Communication: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
  • Language: Proficient in English; knowledge of German is a plus.
