Crimp Technician

Position Overview

Join a dynamic team in the medical device manufacturing industry where you can utilize your skills to contribute to innovative solutions. The selected candidate will be responsible for a variety of production assembly tasks while ensuring adherence to quality and operational standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and perform minor repairs and preventative maintenance on equipment in compliance with safety, quality, and efficiency standards.
• Monitor and maintain raw material feeds, addressing stoppages and faults on automated equipment.
• Utilize human-machine interfaces (HMIs) to identify and rectify process control shifts.
• Prepare raw materials and ensure timely execution of jobs to meet delivery schedules.
• Troubleshoot mechanical errors or safety issues using designated troubleshooting tools.
• Employ computer systems for material inventory and quality management processes.
• Support new product design transfers, process development, and equipment/process validations.
• Make use of measuring tools to verify correct tolerances and compliance with product specifications.
• Adhere to standard operating procedures for material handling, record-keeping, packaging, and shipment preparation.
• Maintain compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) standards.
• Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues and implement corrective actions.
• Keep a clean and organized work environment appropriate for medical device manufacturing.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or associate degree.
• Proficient in English for reading documentation, communication, and writing.
• Familiarity with manufacturing instrumentation such as micrometers, calipers, and gauge blocks.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work independently.
• Preferred experience in manufacturing, particularly with discrete assembly and robotics.
• Knowledge of automated machines, tools, and production processes is beneficial.
• Basic understanding of arithmetic, algebra, or geometry.
• Effective problem-solving skills, including root cause analysis techniques.
• Physical capability to stand, walk, reach, push, pull, and lift up to 20 lbs as necessary.

Compensation

The hourly compensation for this role ranges from $18 to $21, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
