Data Center Security Manager

A leading organization in cloud services is on the lookout for a talented professional to oversee and enhance security operations within our data centers in the Zurich area. This pivotal role focuses on maintaining a high standard of physical security across multiple sites, with direct reporting to the Cluster Security Manager.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage daily physical security operations to ensure the safety and security of our facilities.
• Enhance the security posture of each site through diligent oversight and continuous improvement.
• Supervise security guard force vendors, ensuring adherence to established standards.
• Respond to security events as directed, providing immediate guidance and solutions.
• Oversee access control systems, badge deliveries, and investigate security incidents utilizing alarm and CCTV monitoring systems.
• Coordinate effectively with the Security Operation Center to address security matters.
• Develop and refine procedures and workflows based on data-driven insights to eliminate vulnerabilities.
• Conduct security inspections, audits, and investigations as necessary.
• Travel to other data center locations as required.

Essential Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in a similar capacity within the public or private security industry.
• Proficient in the use of data and metrics to drive process improvements and enhance customer satisfaction.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, with attention to detail.
• Flexibility to be on-call for emergencies both remotely and on-site.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally to data centers.
• Possess a valid driving license eligible for use in Switzerland.
• A minimum of three years' experience in a comparable role.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with CCTV, access control, and intrusion detection systems.
• Management experience with security vendors.
• Strong investigative skills for analyzing security events.
• A metrics-oriented approach and the capacity to function effectively under pressure.
• Ability to handle confidential information responsibly.
