Cloud DevOps Engineer

Join a Landing Zone Migration project on behalf of a key partner. This short-term contract opportunity is set to start immediately and is fully remote. The initial engagement runs until the end of 2026, with the possibility of extension.

Role Responsibilities

You will be responsible for designing, migrating, and operationalising enterprise Azure Landing Zones, ensuring cloud environments remain secure, scalable, and compliant. Key duties include:

• Building infrastructure using Terraform
• Designing Azure networking and identity/RBAC structures
• Implementing security controls
• Developing CI/CD pipelines
• Setting up monitoring and observability
• Supporting cost optimisation initiatives
• Collaborating closely with security, networking, and development teams throughout the cloud migration

Desired Skills

• 4+ years of Azure Cloud Infrastructure experience
• Strong experience with Terraform
• Strong experience in Azure Landing Zone design and migration
• Experience with Azure management groups, subscriptions, and policies
• Experience with Azure AD / Entra ID
• Experience with RBAC, managed identity, conditional access, and PIM
• Experience with Microsoft Defender for cloud
• Azure Networking experience, including Hub-and-Spoke and Virtual WAN
• Experience with Cloud security, including zero trust, network segmentation, encryption, and key management
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or similar tools
• Experience scripting with Python, Bash, or PowerShell
• Experience with Git workflows and branching strategies
• Strong English communication and technical documentation skills
