Inventory Coordinator

Join a well-established FMCG manufacturer to play a pivotal role in their Supply Chain team. This site-based position in Redditch is offered on a fixed-term contract until January 2028, with a salary of £33,000 per annum. Reporting directly to the Inventory Manager, you will be instrumental in maintaining accurate stock records, managing inventory levels, and supporting the smooth flow of materials and goods across the site.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage inventory levels to meet operational and customer requirements.
• Maintain accurate inventory records using ERP and inventory management systems.
• Conduct regular cycle counts and full physical inventory checks.
• Investigate inventory discrepancies and identify root causes.
• Work closely with Warehouse, Purchasing, and Production teams to reconcile stock movements.
• Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring accurate goods receipt and dispatch documentation.
• Monitor stock movements and ensure inventory transactions are accurately recorded.
• Produce inventory reports for management, including stock ageing, inventory valuation, and usage analysis.
• Support inventory audits by preparing relevant documentation and reports.
• Assist with the implementation and maintenance of inventory control procedures.
• Identify opportunities to improve stock accuracy, reduce discrepancies, and minimise stock losses.
• Identify opportunities to improve warehouse and stock space utilisation.
• Work closely with the Inventory Manager to maintain effective inventory control processes.
• Ensure all activities are carried out in line with company Health & Safety procedures.
• Report any stock, system, or process issues to the Inventory Manager.

Key Requirements

• Experience in an inventory, stock control, or supply chain environment.
• Experience using ERP or inventory management systems.
• Strong understanding of stock control and inventory management processes.
• Experience conducting stock checks, cycle counts, and physical inventories.
• Experience investigating and resolving stock discrepancies.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong organisational and time management skills.
• Good communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across Warehouse, Purchasing, and Production teams.
• Good understanding of Health & Safety within a manufacturing environment.
• Comfortable working in a site-based manufacturing environment.

• Experience with inventory improvement or stock accuracy projects.
