Lead Business Analyst
Take ownership of business analysis across complex systems and projects while simultaneously improving how the team operates. This role combines hands-on delivery with the strategic task of building, structuring, and enhancing practices that help BA teams deliver with greater clarity, consistency, and impact. The objective is to create a more structured and consistent BA practice while remaining directly involved in project delivery.
Responsibilities
- Lead business analysis activities across complex projects and systems, from requirements clarification through to specifications that delivery teams can use effectively.
- Work closely with business and IT stakeholders to understand needs, clarify requirements, and translate them into clear and actionable specifications.
- Assess existing BA practices and identify where roles, processes, coordination, and ways of working can be improved.
- Introduce practical standards and approaches for requirements and specifications, improving consistency and quality across the team.
- Establish clearer ways of working within the BA function and support their adoption across projects.
- Support and develop Business Analysts, providing guidance and helping the team adopt more consistent practices.
- Build alignment and secure buy-in from business and IT stakeholders when introducing changes to established ways of working.
- Remain directly involved in project delivery while helping strengthen the overall BA function.
Experience
- Extensive Business Analysis experience, including senior, lead, or comparable leadership responsibility.
- Proven experience transforming, restructuring, or significantly improving a Business Analysis team or function.
- Demonstrated experience introducing new BA practices, processes, standards, or ways of working and bringing others along in their adoption.
- Strong hands-on experience delivering business analysis within complex projects and systems.
- Experience developing or supporting other Business Analysts and improving coordination across a BA team.
- Strong stakeholder management experience across business and IT.
- Demonstrated ability to introduce change, navigate resistance, and build adoption around new ways of working.
- Strong written communication and experience improving the quality and consistency of requirements and specifications.
Technical Fluency
- Strong command of Business Analysis practices across requirements elicitation, analysis, documentation, and specification.
- Experience translating complex business requirements into clear specifications that can be effectively used by delivery teams.
- Ability to work confidently across business and IT environments and facilitate alignment between the two.
- Experience establishing practical templates, standards, and processes that improve analysis quality and delivery.
- Comfortable working across complex systems and project environments.

Qualifications
- Track record of transforming or significantly improving a Business Analysis team or function.
- Experience within insurance, particularly life insurance, is a plus but not essential.
- Fluent French.
