Experienced Nanny – Permanent Position (75%)

BeeBoo is seeking an experienced, energetic, and versatile professional to join a private family in Conches, Geneva. This role involves providing additional support to the existing household team, primarily in the mornings, to ensure consistent care and a smooth daily routine for two young boys: a toddler and a young baby.

Working Schedule

The position requires approximately 30 hours per week, structured as follows:

  • Monday to Friday: 7:00 AM – 12:00 PM (25 hours).
  • Saturday: Approximately 5 hours, either morning or afternoon depending on the family's needs.
  • Occasional overnight stays: Approximately 1–2 nights per month, particularly when the father travels for work, with separate compensation.

Flexibility and occasional availability at short notice are highly appreciated.

Main Responsibilities

Childcare

  • Provide attentive daily care for the baby, including feeding, changing, naps, and age-appropriate developmental activities.
  • Manage the older child's morning routine, including waking up, breakfast, dressing, and preparation for daycare.
  • Organise engaging, educational, and age-appropriate activities.
  • Ensure the children's safety, comfort, and well-being at all times.
  • Occasionally assist with daycare drop-offs, pick-ups, and children's activities.
  • Communicate effectively and ensure smooth handovers with the family's existing nanny.

Daily Housekeeping

  • Maintain clean, tidy, and organised living spaces.
  • Keep the kitchen and children's areas clean and well organised.
  • Carry out daily household tasks such as washing dishes, tidying up, and light cleaning.
  • Contribute to the smooth day-to-day running of the household.
  • Occasionally assist with grocery shopping and local errands.

Note: The family already employs a housekeeper for deep cleaning, while laundry is primarily managed by the existing nanny. The children's care, safety, and well-being will always remain the top priority.

Candidate Requirements

  • Proven professional experience as a nanny within private households.
  • Strong experience caring for newborns, babies, and toddlers is essential, ideally including experience looking after two young children.
  • French and English are both required: candidates must be comfortable understanding instructions and communicating in both languages. Perfect fluency is not necessary.
  • Valid paediatric first-aid training certificate is mandatory.
  • Mature, responsible, caring, energetic, and proactive personality.
  • Excellent organisational skills, reliability, discretion, and punctuality.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating harmoniously with another nanny.
  • Willingness to assist with daily household tasks and light cleaning.
  • Must reside in Geneva, ideally close to Conches, allowing for a quick response when needed.
  • Availability for early mornings, Saturdays, and occasional overnight stays.
  • Valid authorisation to work in Switzerland.
  • Driving licence and own vehicle would be an advantage but are not essential, as the home is accessible by public transport.

Employment Conditions & Recruitment Process

  • Contract: Permanent employment, approximately 75%.
  • Location: Conches, Geneva.
  • Start date: First week of January 2027.
  • Salary: Depending on experience and qualifications.
  • Occasional overnight stays: Separately compensated according to agreed terms.

The family wishes to conduct interviews and trial sessions in December, with the aim of finalising the recruitment process by mid-December 2026 at the latest. A familiarisation period with the children and the existing nanny is also planned before the official start date.

Shortlisted candidates will be required to provide verifiable professional references, valid identification, an appropriate criminal record extract, and proof of paediatric first-aid training.
