Are you an NDT professional eager to contribute your expertise within a reputable engineering firm? Our established business in Nottingham is looking to add a talented individual to our Test and Inspection team, focusing on non-destructive testing and inspection activities.

Your Role and Responsibilities

As part of the team, you will carry out vital inspections and ensure that all products adhere to quality and customer standards. This position demands working across a 3-shift pattern, including day and night shifts, hence flexibility is essential.

  • Execute NDT inspections according to specified procedures and customer requirements.
  • Perform Fluorescent Penetrant Inspection (FPI) as needed.
  • Identify and report defects, non-conformances, and quality issues.
  • Ensure accuracy in all inspection and testing, adhering to required standards.
  • Maintain precise inspection records and documentation.
  • Collaborate closely with production and quality teams to support product quality and delivery.
  • Focus on quality, safety, and compliance consistently.
  • Assist in cross-training across departments to adapt to changing workloads.
  • Complete onsite examinations and practical assessments under the supervision of a Level 3 inspector.

What We Look for in You

  • Essential Level 2 Non-Destructive Testing accreditation.
  • Preferred experience in Fluorescent Penetrant Inspection (FPI).
  • Aerospace or heavy engineering background is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with other NDT methods is considered beneficial.
  • Strong understanding of quality and safety requirements.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and a systematic approach to inspections.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work harmoniously with team members.
  • A flexible mindset and eagerness to learn and train in other areas as necessary.
  • Willingness to undertake onsite examinations and practical assessments for approval.
