Observability Engineer

Enterprise Agent Development Platform

We are building a production-grade, cloud-native ecosystem enabling teams to define, orchestrate, deploy, and observe AI agents at scale. We are seeking two distinct Observability Engineers to join our fully remote team within the EU on a freelance basis for a duration of three months or longer, with an immediate start date.

Observability Engineer - AgentCore Telemetry

This role focuses on implementing and managing telemetry solutions for AI agents. Key technical skills include:

• AWS Distro for OpenTelemetry (ADOT)
• OpenTelemetry SDK (Python)
• AWS AgentCore Observability
• AWS CloudWatch (Metrics, Logs, Structured Logs)
• AWS X-Ray (distributed tracing)
• LangChain instrumentation
• W3C Trace Context and Baggage propagation

Mandatory experience requirements include:

• 3+ years of observability engineering
• OpenTelemetry instrumentation of Python services
• AWS CloudWatch and X-Ray integration

Observability Engineer - Telemetry Extension & ADOT Pipeline

This position involves designing and extending telemetry pipelines and SDKs. Essential skills comprise:

• AWS Distro for OpenTelemetry (ADOT) collector configuration (pipelines, processors, exporters)
• OpenTelemetry SDK extension patterns (custom metrics, custom spans, configurable telemetry)
• Python SDK library design
• AWS CloudWatch Metrics and X-Ray export pipelines
• YAML-driven telemetry configuration schemas

Mandatory experience requirements include:

• 3+ years of observability or platform engineering
• ADOT or OTel collector pipeline design
• Python SDK or library development
