Your Role in the Policy and Advocacy Team
We seek an engaging individual to enhance our Policy and Advocacy team. This is a pivotal role within a medium-sized, well-positioned NGO dedicated to creating a more coherent and agroecology-friendly policy landscape, while facilitating greater investments in agroecological enterprises.
Main Responsibilities
- Conduct desk research and analysis to support evidence-based advocacy, focusing on policy frameworks related to agroecology and investment trends.
- Develop and promote key advocacy products, including tools, case studies, and targeted communication materials.
- Engage in networking and sensitization activities among public and private stakeholders in agriculture and food systems.
- Assist in organizing national, regional, and international policy-related events, including conferences and high-level meetings.
- Support monitoring, evaluation, and learning (MEL), along with reporting and fundraising processes.
- Provide logistical support to the P&A programme, ensuring seamless coordination with various teams at Biovision.
Your Qualifications
- At least 2 years of relevant work experience in sustainable agriculture, with a focus on policy or investment.
- A Master's Degree in agriculture, food systems, or a related field.
- Experience in organizing events and conducting communication strategies.
- A track record of managing projects in complex environments.
- Strong independent work ethic, pragmatic and solution-oriented mindset, with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to travel frequently, particularly in Sub-Saharan Africa.
- Fluency in English (C1/C2), proficient in German (C1), and good knowledge of French (B2).
- Possession of a Swiss passport or residence permit (C/B).
