QA Automation Engineer

Build, Maintain, and Scale Automated Testing Practices

Join a cross-functional engineering team to ensure products remain stable, reliable, and deliver exceptional user experiences across web and mobile platforms. This role focuses on designing and maintaining automated testing frameworks, integrating them into CI/CD pipelines, and fostering a culture of quality at every stage of the development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and scale automated test suites for web, mobile, and API layers.
• Collaborate closely with back-end engineers and front-end/mobile developers to understand features and ensure thorough test coverage.
• Participate in feature planning and sprint ceremonies, contributing a quality-first perspective.
• Test and validate APIs used across products, both manually and through automation.
• Ensure automated tests are integrated with CI/CD pipelines, such as GitLab or Jenkins.
• Investigate test failures, triage issues, and help resolve root causes in coordination with the engineering team.
• Contribute to and evolve test strategy, tools, and processes to align with best practices in automation and quality engineering.
• Advocate for a culture of testing and quality, supporting manual testing when needed for edge cases or new features.

Required Experience

• Solid experience implementing or maintaining automated testing frameworks for web applications.
• Experience with web frameworks like Symfony (PHP), Spring (Java), or FastAPI (Python).
• Proficiency with Playwright, Appium, or similar automation tools.
• Hands-on experience testing RESTful APIs.
• Experience working in an Agile organization with a strong track record of contributing to iterative development and cross-functional collaboration.
• Interest in or experience with AI tools applied to testing, such as AI-assisted test generation or self-healing tests.

Technical Fluency

• Proficiency in TypeScript or JavaScript for writing test scripts.
• Comfortable working with Unix-like environments (Linux, macOS, etc.).
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools like GitLab CI, Jenkins, or similar.
• Understanding of responsive and cross-platform behavior across web, Android, and iOS.
• Awareness of emerging AI-driven testing methods and modern automation frameworks.
