Opportunity Overview

Join a dynamic team focused on advancing the Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) sector in the European market. This role is essential for driving growth and profitability by fostering strategic customer relationships, uncovering new market opportunities, and executing commercial transactions with precision.

Main Responsibilities

  • Support the Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) business in Europe to drive sales growth, maximize profitability, and exceed targets aligned with the company's growth strategy.
  • Manage and nurture customer relationships to foster loyalty and engagement.
  • Oversee the entire sales process from proposal development to customer agreements, order management, delivery arrangements, and payment collection.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities to adapt to energy transition requirements.
  • Develop and enhance relationships with international buyers and traders.
  • Act as a valuable resource for other leaders in the SAF sector with strong networking capabilities.
  • Conduct regular market research and maintain industry relationships to stay informed on market trends, competitive actions, policy developments, and sustainability needs.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Operations, Logistics, Finance, and Sustainability, to ensure seamless cargo trading and delivery execution.
  • Work with support functions such as Market Intelligence, Transformation, and ESG to aid company expansion and enhance brand equity.
  • Assist with ad hoc projects and tasks as required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5-8 years of experience in Sales or Account Management within the oil & gas, energy trading, biofuels, or Airline Sales and Marketing industries.
  • Strong awareness of compliance and internal control measures.
  • Basic expertise in risk analysis, hedging, economic evaluation, financial management, and accounting knowledge pertinent to the energy trading business.
  • A proactive mindset with an entrepreneurial attitude, capable of working independently.
  • Outstanding communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Fluency in English; proficiency in additional European languages is advantageous.
  • Willingness to travel, up to 25% of the time.
  • Knowledge of the biofuels business and sustainability frameworks is a plus.
  • Possession of Swiss/EFTA work status.
