SAP EHS Data Expert

Role Overview

Join a team dedicated to supporting a global S/4 HANA implementation project for a leading client in the diagnostic instruments, consumables, and packaging sector. This position focuses on ensuring global environmental regulatory compliance and sustainability while driving the modernization of chemical data models. The role is primarily remote, with monthly travel to Switzerland required.

Key Responsibilities

• Assure global environmental regulatory compliance and sustainability for diagnostic instruments, consumables, and packaging, adhering to regulations such as REACH, RoHS, California Proposition 65, TSCA, POP, Conflict Minerals, and the Packaging Directive.
• Support a global data migration project by transferring large sets of chemical legislation data from the current SAP EHSM solution to the new EHSM S4 HANA environment.
• Drive the modernization of the chemical data model by translating and transforming chemical data structures from legacy systems into S4/HANA-compatible formats to ensure seamless data migration.
• Ensure data accuracy and integrity by preparing load files and performing post-load verification checks using automation and mass load tools.
• Drive operational efficiency by simplifying processes, emphasizing the automation of manual tasks, and promoting automated report generation.
• Actively contribute to project meetings by offering valuable insights, updates, and subject-matter expertise.
• Utilize project management tools to monitor project health, ensure timely execution, and maintain momentum across key milestones.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience with EHSM.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience with S4 HANA.
• Strong knowledge of environmental regulatory frameworks, including global regulations such as REACH, RoHS, California Proposition 65, TSCA, POP, Conflict Minerals, and the Packaging Directive.
• Good understanding of the chemical composition of materials used in instruments, electronic devices, and packaging.
• In-depth experience with interactive, real-time Tableau dashboards and data pipelines in Snowflake.
• Experience utilizing Material Declaration Data Management Systems for the comprehensive evaluation, maintenance, and verification of large-scale material declaration datasets, such as SAP EH&S(M) or equivalents.
