Key Responsibilities
Engage in comprehensive audits of multinational firms or Swiss subsidiaries of SEC-listed entities, including collaboration with KPMG U.S. and other group auditors.
- Conduct audits for spin-offs, disposals, and the evaluation of opening balance sheets related to various business combinations.
- Provide support for transaction-based projects that necessitate expertise in US GAAP, IFRS, PCAOB, ISA, and SEC reporting, including the issuance of comfort letters, agreed-upon procedures, and reviews of registration statements.
- Manage processes involving financial statement conversions both to and from US GAAP.
- Deliver accounting advisory and SOX advisory services to clients not currently engaged in audit services.
- Coach Swiss-based audit teams regarding technical US accounting, auditing, and reporting inquiries.
- Conduct internal and external training sessions on US GAAP, PCAOB/US GAAS, and IFRS methodologies.
- Potentially assist in ESG assurance engagements.
Qualifications
To thrive in this role, candidates should possess the following:
- In-depth knowledge of US GAAP or IFRS, alongside familiarity with SEC requirements and US GAAS/PCAOB audit methodologies or International Standards on Auditing (ISA).
- A minimum of 2 to 5 years of recent audit experience, specifically with PCAOB & US GAAP or PCAOB & IFRS or ISA & IFRS, preferably within KPMG or another Big 4 firm.
- Completed U.S. CPA license or equivalent, or currently in the process of obtaining it.
- Strong ability to research accounting and auditing issues effectively.
- Capacity to deliver high-quality services under tight deadlines.
- Proficient English language skills; proficiency in German or other languages is considered an advantage.
- Experience utilizing Data & Analytics and knowledge in Audit ESG is a plus.
