Trainee, AI Scientist (M&A, Deal Transformation and Post-Merger Integration Advisory)

Located in Zurich, this opportunity allows for a work pattern ranging from 80% to 100%.

Key Areas of Impact

Assist clients in managing global challenges through the Swiss market-leading Deal Transformation and Post-Merger Integration Team. You will engage with Corporate and mid-market clients to create value from Mergers & Acquisitions, Divestitures, and Carve-outs. This involves delivering advisory services and leading complex engagements using expertise in finance, human resources, commercial operations, supply chain, and technology.

Responsibilities

• Design and validate AI use cases, collaborating with M&A practitioners to develop testable AI applications.
• Engineer end-to-end AI solutions, overseeing the technical development of generative AI tools.
• Establish evaluation and quality standards through rigorous testing methodologies.
• Optimize AI solutions in live client engagements, ensuring reliability and scalability.
• Build reusable AI infrastructure to facilitate knowledge transfer and iterative development.
• Collaborate across teams to remain updated on platform developments and emerging capabilities.

Ideal Candidate Attributes

• Strong foundation in AI with hands-on experience in large language models, prompt engineering, and generative AI.
• Technical proficiency in designing prompts, structuring examples, and evaluating outputs.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and systems thinking capability.
• Ability to quickly learn M&A domain knowledge to inform AI design decisions.
• Skilled in communicating complex AI concepts in a business context, building trust with stakeholders.
• Demonstrates ownership and accountability for solution quality and project delivery.
• Strong academic background in fields such as computer science, data science, AI, or machine learning.
• Fluent in English, with additional proficiency in German or French being an advantage.
