This position entails various responsibilities that are integral to the underwriting process and the overall service delivered to clients and brokers.

Key Responsibilities

• Register all relevant data from underwriting submissions, acceptances, and declinations in our IT systems.
• Prepare renewal information within the relevant systems, enabling underwriters to conduct risk assessments efficiently.
• Review and assess contractual wordings, identifying changes from prior years while gaining a foundational understanding of reinsurance contracts.
• Collaborate with Technical Accounting and Claims Management to ensure timely and accurate service delivery to clients and brokers.
• Maintain an overview of administrative matters related to selected client relationships.
• Prepare for client and broker meetings through thorough visit planning.
• Organize and maintain an orderly filing system, whether physical or electronic.
• Provide training for new starters or temporary underwriting assistants as required.
• Participate in back-office projects as needed.

Ideal Candidate Profile

• Background in mathematics or a closely related quantitative field.
• Previous experience in a similar role within an international insurance environment is advantageous.
• Experience in the re/insurance industry would be a significant asset.
• Proficient in English and French; additional language skills are a plus.
• Strong knowledge of MS-Office applications; additional IT expertise is beneficial.
• Able to work independently and effectively manage pressure.
• Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to tasks.
• Possess a friendly, positive personality alongside excellent communication skills, a strong team spirit, and practical problem-solving abilities.
