This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the development of life-saving vaccines by supporting research, product and process development, as well as preclinical and clinical studies.

Your Responsibilities

In this position, you will support vaccine development through analytical method development and the characterization of vaccine candidates. Your key duties include:

  • Develop and perform analytical methods for the characterization and release testing of vaccine candidates manufactured using E. coli-based biotechnological platforms.
  • Analyze biomolecules such as (glyco-)proteins, (glyco-)lipids, and glycans using state-of-the-art assays and analytical methods, including HPLC, SDS-PAGE, Western blotting, ELISA, and colorimetric assays.
  • Participate in stability, formulation, and compatibility studies.
  • Report and evaluate analytical data in scientific meetings and technical reports.
  • Independently plan and execute analytical research projects.
  • Write standard operating procedures (SOPs) and analytical reports.
  • Participate in the preparation of regulatory documentation.
  • Maintain laboratory equipment in accordance with applicable safety and operational standards.
  • Participate in technology and knowledge transfers to contract manufacturing and research organizations.

What We Are Looking For

We are seeking a proactive and enthusiastic team player who enjoys hands-on laboratory work, takes ownership of activities, and is motivated to bring tasks to completion in a laboratory-focused technical role. Ideally, you bring:

  • A laboratory technician qualification, BSc, or MSc in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, or a related discipline.
  • Proven hands-on experience in immunoassays such as ELISA, biochemical assays, and chromatography.
  • Experience with glycan analytics is considered an advantage.
  • Experience with drug product formulation for biopharmaceuticals is considered an advantage.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills in English.

Working Environment

The workplace is located in Schlieren near Zürich, easily accessible by public transportation. This is an opportunity to work in a friendly, highly motivated, and dynamic team.
