This role is crucial in sourcing and purchasing automotive components, materials, and services to support both customer programs and daily manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Source and procure automotive components, materials, and services in accordance with production and customer requirements.
• Manage day-to-day supplier relationships, focusing on cost, quality, delivery, and performance.
• Collaborate closely with Production, Engineering, Planning, and Quality teams to ensure a seamless supply chain.
• Negotiate pricing, lead times, payment terms, and other commercial agreements with suppliers.
• Monitor and evaluate supplier performance while addressing delivery, quality, and supply issues proactively.
• Support initiatives for cost reduction, value engineering, and continuous improvement.
• Maintain optimal stock levels by monitoring demand, inventory levels, and material availability.
• Identify and manage potential supply chain risks while implementing corrective actions as necessary.
• Facilitate the introduction of new automotive programs, components, and suppliers.
• Maintain accurate records of purchasing and suppliers to ensure alignment with business requirements.

About You

The ideal candidate will be proactive and commercially focused, fully understanding the demands of a fast-paced automotive manufacturing environment. Qualifications include:

• Previous experience as a Buyer, Procurement Specialist, or Purchasing professional within automotive or manufacturing.
• Strong operational procurement and supplier management expertise.
• Knowledge of automotive components, manufacturing processes, or engineering supply chains.
• Exceptional commercial negotiation skills, with a track record of achieving cost and performance improvements.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Proven capability in building strong, professional relationships with suppliers and internal teams.
• A proactive mindset towards resolving supply chain challenges and managing risk.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
