Capital Markets Manager

Position Overview

Located in Basel, Switzerland, this role is pivotal in driving high-profile capital markets initiatives that significantly impact the company. The position involves assisting with the execution of capital market issuances, securing bank financing, conducting financial analysis, managing credit ratings, and supporting senior leadership in capital market strategies.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the execution of capital market issuances and negotiate documentation for bank financing arrangements.
• Develop and maintain sophisticated financial models, conduct in-depth financial analyses, and present actionable financial solutions.
• Support various ad-hoc projects on capital markets and corporate finance topics such as capital structure and dividend policies.
• Manage credit ratings, including thorough analysis, forecasting, and communication with credit rating agencies.
• Perform periodic analyses related to equity topics, including Employee Participation Programs and share buybacks.
• Prepare necessary analyses and reports for quarterly and annual financial closes.
• Offer support to the Head of Capital Markets and mentor team members.

Essential Requirements

• MBA or equivalent; CFA designation is an advantage.
• Experience in investment banking, particularly in debt or equity capital markets, or related roles in corporate treasury of a multinational corporation.
• In-depth knowledge of debt and equity financing markets, corporate finance, and treasury operations.
• Strong analytical and conceptual thinking capabilities complemented by advanced quantitative modeling skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to foster trust and build strong cross-functional relationships.
• Fluency in English, with proficiency in German considered a plus.
