Lead Construction Management for Global Pharmaceutical Manufacturing

Join a global market leader in the production and process support of active pharmaceutical ingredients across the chemical and biotechnology sectors. This 12-month contract role, based in the Valais area of Switzerland, offers the opportunity to serve as a subject matter expert for Civil-Structural and Architectural (CSA) Engineering topics. You will assume responsibility for the construction management of investment projects of all sizes, while also handling design and project management tasks for smaller investment and maintenance initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the construction site and bear operational responsibility during the construction and installation phases.
• Coordinate all EHS issues on the construction site, request necessary work method statements (SiMoKo’s) from contractors, and verify them with EHS specialists.
• Implement the EHS Management System on construction sites and ensure its effectiveness through regular site visits.
• Support the procurement process by ensuring that construction site safety aspects are incorporated into the work performed.
• Ensure plan specifications are respected while monitoring construction costs, schedules, and quality.
• Organize building inspections at the conclusion of construction projects and manage the correction of any defects.
• Act as a CSA subject matter expert for the design and execution of smaller investment or maintenance projects.
• Prepare tender documents and collaborate with procurement to carry out submission and contract awards.
• Contribute hands-on to the creation and development of CSA standard documents, ensuring standards and requirements are correctly incorporated.

Qualifications and Experience

• Relevant working/residency permit or Swiss/EU-Citizenship required.
• Strong drive to solve problems and meet aligned goals.
• Flexibility, assertiveness, and the ability to work effectively in a team.
• Capability to prioritize and execute tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Skills and experience in working with matrix-based cross-functional teams.
• Self-motivated with experience working both independently and in a collaborative environment.
• Proficiency in standard software tools, including MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and MS Office.
• German C1 (required) and English B1 (preferred).
