Our Partner and the Opportunity

We are collaborating with an esteemed, multi-service accountancy and professional services group that boasts a robust regional presence across Yorkshire and Derbyshire. This organisation, which employs over 220 professionals across 11 offices, offers a comprehensive array of services including accountancy, financial services, wills and probate, commercial finance, residential mortgages, and corporate finance. Role Responsibilities

  • Lead the execution of a portfolio of SME and lower mid-market corporate finance transactions.
  • Manage transactions including business sales, acquisitions, MBOs, MBIs, fundraising, and shareholder exits.
  • Project manage deal teams, transaction timetables, and key workstreams.
  • Build strong relationships with business owners, management teams, and senior stakeholders.
  • Prepare and review financial models, valuations, and transaction analyses.
  • Draft and review Information Memoranda, management presentations, and transaction documentation.
  • Coordinate financial, commercial, tax, and legal due diligence processes.
  • Liaise with external advisers and internal colleagues across multiple service lines.
  • Support clients through negotiations, acting as a trusted adviser throughout the transaction lifecycle.
  • Identify opportunities to introduce complementary services across the wider organisation.
  • Develop relationships with accountants, lawyers, wealth managers, and other professional intermediaries.
  • Support Partners and Directors in business development efforts, pitches, and proposals.
  • Manage, coach, and develop Executives and Analysts within the Corporate Finance team.
  • Contribute to the ongoing development and growth of the Corporate Finance offering.

About You

  • Professionally qualified ACA or ACCA, or possess an equivalent qualification.
  • A minimum of 3 years' post-qualification experience within corporate finance or a related advisory environment.
  • Proven track record in executing and completing SME or lower mid-market transactions.
  • Experience with transactions such as business sales, acquisitions, MBOs, MBIs, or fundraising.
  • Strong financial modelling and valuation capabilities.
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles and their application in transactions.
  • Experience working with owner-managed, entrepreneurial, or family-owned businesses.
  • Excellent commercial awareness, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple transactions and competing deadlines effectively.
  • Experience in supervising, mentoring, or developing junior team members.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Commercially minded with confidence in developing relationships and identifying new business opportunities.
  • Proactive and self-motivated, comfortable working autonomously.
  • A collaborative approach with the ability to work effectively across various service lines.
  • Willingness to travel to clients and other offices as needed.
