Role Overview

Join a dynamic and independent Swiss Asset Management Company, licensed by FINMA as a Portfolio Manager, located in Zug and Ticino. This position offers an engaging opportunity as a Digital Business Analyst within a collaborative team.

In this role, you will serve as a crucial link between our investment, coverage, and compliance teams and the IT department, driving efficiency with tailored digital tools, advanced reporting solutions, and process automation. Your contributions will ensure that both front-office and back-office workflows are modern, user-friendly, and fully compliant, while also providing Russian-language support to our team servicing clients from Eastern Europe and Central Asia.

Key Responsibilities

  • Requirements & Process Mapping: Collaborate with portfolio managers, relationship managers, compliance officers, and operations to document existing workflows, identify challenges, and translate needs into technical specifications.
  • Reporting & Dashboards: Develop and maintain interactive dashboards (using Power BI or equivalent) to monitor portfolio performance, risk metrics, and regulatory KPIs.
  • Data Integration & Automation: Extract and cleanse data from CRM systems, custodians, and market data feeds utilizing SQL, Python, or ETL tools, and automate regular reporting tasks and data quality checks.
  • User Support & Training: Serve as the first line of IT support for non-technical colleagues; provide training sessions and documentation for new digital tools and processes.
  • Project Coordination: Assist in small-to-medium digital transformation projects from start to finish—planning timelines, coordinating stakeholders, and ensuring timely delivery.
  • Client Communication: Prepare materials in Russian for clients (reports, presentations) and support our coverage team in interactions with clients from Eastern Europe and Central Asia.

Required Qualifications

  • Education: Master’s degree in Business Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Experience: 1–2 years in a business analysis, BI/developer, or process automation role; experience in financial services is a strong asset.

Technical Skills

  • Reporting Tools: Proficiency in Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools, including data modeling and DAX.
  • Scripting/ETL: Skilled in Python or R, and SQL for data extraction and transformation.
  • CRM Familiarity: Experience with CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce, Slack) and the Office 365 suite, particularly Excel.

Languages

  • English: Fluent (verbal & written).
  • Russian: Fluent/native (verbal & written).
  • Central Asia Languages: Proficiency in any Central Asia languages (verbal & written) is a plus.

Interpersonal Skills

Strong communication skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within small teams are essential for success in this role.
