Experienced Nanny for a Young Child in Geneva

Join a family in Geneva 1204 to provide high-quality, stimulating care for their 2-year-old daughter. This permanent 50% position offers a stable part-time commitment, allowing you to build a long-term relationship with the child while maintaining a flexible work-life balance.

Role Overview

You will take over care of the child each afternoon from Tuesday to Friday, following her morning nursery school hours. The role focuses on ensuring her well-being, safety, and daily routines while providing varied, age-appropriate activities. Outings, games, discoveries, and shared moments are integral to her afternoons, tailored to the development of a very active toddler.

Key Responsibilities

• Care for the child after nursery school, ensuring her well-being, safety, and daily routines.
• Provide varied, stimulating, and age-appropriate activities to support her development.
• Organize outings, walks, games, and developmental activities.
• Encourage independence and support the child's growth.
• Prepare and serve snacks and, depending on the schedule, meals.
• Attend to the child's hygiene and comfort.
• Maintain the cleanliness and organization of her belongings and spaces.
• Communicate smoothly with parents to ensure consistency in routines.

Working Hours

• Tuesday to Friday: 1:00 pm–6:00 pm.
• Total of 20 hours per week (50% position).
• Mondays are off.
• Flexibility is appreciated to occasionally extend the working day or accommodate additional family needs, subject to prior agreement.

Candidate Profile

• Proven experience caring for children around 2 years old, ideally as a nanny within private families.
• Dynamic, energetic, and naturally proactive with a gentle, warm, and attentive demeanor.
• Able to take initiative and spontaneously suggest activities to engage a young child.
• Reliable, punctual, organized, and autonomous.
• Very good level of English, with excellent spoken English preferred.
• Flexible and available to travel with the family.
• Driving licence is an advantage, though not essential.
• Willing to make this position a main professional commitment to allow for family flexibility.

Practical Information

• Location: Geneva – 1204.
• Contract: Permanent, 50% (20 hours/week).
