Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled individual to support our high-speed turbocharger product development team in Baden, Switzerland.

In this position, you will be responsible for the development and lifecycle support of high-speed turbochargers, providing vital technical support to supply, sales, and service teams while collaborating closely with central R&D.

Your role will include contributing to cross-divisional initiatives and leading projects for product development, ensuring adherence to technology, costs, and deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct engineering calculations such as tolerance stack-ups for static and rotating turbocharger parts and assemblies.
  • Initiate, supervise, and analyze FEM/CFD simulations and tests in both internal and external laboratories, including field tests on customer sites.
  • Perform technical root cause analysis for product reliability issues in the field, and develop effective countermeasures.
  • Advance the existing product range through collaboration with sales, service, and central R&D.
  • Drive continuous process improvement, ensure thorough documentation, and maintain knowledge management practices.
  • Provide technical support to supply chain, sales, and service teams while preparing and updating relevant instructions and product manuals.
  • Manage product development/R&D projects, ensuring that technology, costs, and deadlines are met while coordinating cross-divisional collaboration.

Qualifications

  • University degree in Mechanical Engineering, preferably a Master's degree or similar, with at least 2 years of professional experience in a relevant field.
  • In-depth knowledge of modern development methods.
  • Strong engineering, project management, and communication skills.
  • A collaborative mindset suited to a dynamic working environment.
  • An independent, self-organized, and dedicated work approach.
  • Analytical skills complemented by the ability to understand complex situations and think laterally to develop innovative solutions.
  • Fluency in English and German is required.
