Shape the Future of Orthopaedic Care

Fueled by innovation at the intersection of biology and technology, we are developing the next generation of smarter, less invasive, and more personalized treatments. Our Orthopaedics teams help keep more than 6 million people moving each year while delivering clinical and economic value to surgeons and healthcare systems. We build solutions for joint reconstruction, trauma and craniomaxillofacial, sports, extremities, and elective foot and ankle, spine, and robotics and digital surgery. Your unique talents will help patients on their journey to wellness.

The Opportunity

For our orthopaedics business, we are seeking a strong, customer-focused, and communicative personality to join us as a Sales Consultant, starting immediately or by agreement. If you are looking to take the next step into a dynamic, high-performance environment, this role offers the perfect opportunity. We provide a motivated and committed individual with a diverse set of responsibilities in a modern, forward-thinking company, where you can make a meaningful impact and grow.

As a proven specialist with a strong sales mindset, you will serve as the key point of contact for orthopaedic surgeons, OR managers, and operating room staff in hospitals and clinics. In this central role, you will coordinate, organize, and ensure the correct application of our high-quality, innovative products. You will proactively identify new business opportunities, drive their execution, and manage corresponding sales projects within your assigned territory in the Ticino area.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive sales and product advice in the clinical field of orthopaedics and joint reconstruction.
  • Systematically plan and organize your own field service activities.
  • Build long-term customer relationships with physicians, operating room staff, buyers, and other decision-makers.
  • Strengthen existing product lines and introduce product innovations.
  • Drive market adoption of VELYS™ Robotics and other enabling technologies through customer engagement, clinical support, and business development activities.
  • Organize and implement further training events, such as workshops and customer training, for medical professionals.
  • Be responsible for achieving general and specific sales targets in terms of market penetration and sales.
  • Develop and implement sales and action plans in the assigned area of responsibility in cooperation with the sales manager.
  • Represent the business unit at congresses.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • At least 2 years of sales experience, ideally in the medical device sector.
  • Clear sales-driven mindset with excellent execution skills and professional presence.
  • High customer-oriented personality and result orientation.
  • Strong negotiation skills and confidence in closing deals.
  • Determination, self-motivation, and willingness to perform.
  • Strong communication and persuasion skills.
  • High flexibility and willingness to travel within your region.
  • Creativity and openness to change.
  • Independent, integrity, dynamic, resilient, and entrepreneurial personality.
  • Fluent Italian (mandatory) and English proficiency. German knowledge represents an advantage.

Company Transition Notice

The process of the planned separation is anticipated to be completed within 18 to 24 months, subject to legal requirements, including consultation with works councils and other employee representative bodies, as may be required, regulatory approvals, and other customary conditions and approvals. Should you accept this position, it is anticipated that, following conclusion of the transaction, you would be an employee of DePuy Synthes, and your employment would be governed by DePuy Synthes employment processes, programs, policies, and benefit plans.
