Role Overview

We are seeking a meticulous and seasoned professional to oversee essential accounting functions and ensure meticulous financial reporting while supporting ongoing compliance initiatives. This opportunity as a key team member in the Accounting department involves maintaining the integrity of accounting information through accurate transactions.

This fixed-term position is slated to commence in October 2026 for a duration of 12 months in order to cover maternity leave, with potential for contract extension or transition into a permanent role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee general ledger activities; ensure precise month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Prepare periodic reports, memos, and schedules by gathering, analyzing, and summarizing account information according to the monthly close schedule.
  • Analyze monthly financial results, reporting on variances compared to previous periods and budget forecasts.
  • Maintain the accuracy of the general ledger.
  • Research accounting issues and suggest suitable treatments, including the drafting of internal memos.
  • Support documentation and monitoring of internal controls, alongside implementing process improvements.
  • Liaise with internal and external audit teams, preparing necessary documentation for compliance.
  • Assist in quarterly reports, analyze, and resolve discrepancies in the ERP system.
  • Collaborate with various business stakeholders, facilitating decision-making through cost and profitability analyses.
  • Contribute to the User Acceptance Testing and advancements of ERP and reporting systems, emphasizing automation.
  • Supervise, mentor, and develop junior team members while providing necessary guidance.

Key Qualifications

  • Solid understanding of accounting principles, with IFRS knowledge a plus.
  • 4+ years of accounting/finance experience; CPA or ACCA qualification preferred.
  • Experience in an audit firm or a SOX compliance environment is advantageous.
  • Fluency in English, both spoken and written.
  • Highly detail-oriented and organized with the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Excel is essential.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business Management; Accounting certification (CPA or ACCA) is preferred.

Additional Qualifications

  • Experience in a publicly listed company is a plus.
  • Familiarity with D365 or OneStream is advantageous.
