Senior Platform Engineer (Azure, Kubernetes, Terraform)

Architect and Deliver Cloud-Native Platform Solutions

Join an international client to design and implement a robust Data Platform. This cloud internal developer platform adapts to its host ecosystem, orchestrating over 70 best-in-class open-source and managed services. The role focuses on Azure today, with the architecture designed to support any cloud environment in the future.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect and deliver cloud-native, self-service platform capabilities across Azure.
• Develop detailed platform designs based on high-level requirements using Azure, Kubernetes, Terraform, and Crossplane.
• Implement solutions and automate infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC), specifically OpenTofu for Day-0 and Crossplane v2 for Day-1+ operations.
• Lead CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, implementing progressive delivery via Argo Rollouts.
• Create Azure Data Factory pipelines.
• Operate and scale Kubernetes fleets on AKS (Azure) utilizing Cilium (L3/L4), Istio ambient mesh (East-West), and Kong (North-South) to guarantee high availability.
• Lead incident response and perform deep-dive troubleshooting to minimize downtime.
• Mentor platform and SRE engineers.

Required Qualifications

• Long-term project experience as a Platform Engineer with a strong focus on Azure.
• Strong project experience with Kubernetes Clusters (AKS).
• Strong project experience with Terraform, including API gateways, service mesh (Istio ambient), and microservices at production scale.
• Strong project experience in IaC using OpenTofu/Terraform and Crossplane v2.
• Experience with advanced CI/CD tools, specifically GitHub Actions and Argo CD/Rollouts.
• Fluency in English.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Kafka, Databricks, and/or Kong.
• International project experience in large organizations.

• Duration: Until the end of the year, with 3-month rolling extensions.
