Cold Chain Project Coordinator
Join a global market leader in the production and process support of active pharmaceutical ingredients, operating within both the chemical and biotechnology sectors. This position is based in Visp, Switzerland, and offers a contract opportunity starting immediately, running until December 31, 2026.
The role combines strong project coordination capabilities with specialized expertise in temperature-controlled supply chain processes, cold chain solutions, and compliant logistics operations. You will support the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of Cold Chain projects and solutions, ensuring that temperature-sensitive products are handled, stored, and transported in line with quality, regulatory, and business requirements.
Main Responsibilities
- Contribute to the development and implementation of fit-for-purpose Cold Chain solutions across the Supply Chain network, with responsibilities adapting to current business needs.
- Support the Supply Chain team in designing and implementing projects on time, on budget, and to the required quality, while maintaining comprehensive project documentation, plans, and reports.
- Prepare project proposals, timeframes, and schedules for Cold Chain initiatives.
- Coordinate quality controls to ensure deliverables meet established requirements.
- Monitor and report project progress, ensure deadlines are met, and determine any changes needed to keep projects on schedule.
- Act as the point of contact for project status, organizing and participating in stakeholder and project team meetings.
- Analyze risks and opportunities related to temperature excursions, packaging concepts, transport lanes, storage conditions, and operational handovers.
- Collaborate closely with peers across the Supply Chain network and other stakeholders.
Required Profile
- Relevant working/residency permit or Swiss/EU-Citizenship required.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Engineering, Life Sciences, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Focus on Cold Chain projects.
- Senior project management experience driving quality remediation, compliance, or material management projects in a highly regulated GMP environment (Pharma, Biotech, or CDMO).
- Solid background in SAP Material Master, material classification, and supplier data collection (SDS / technical specifications), combined with hands-on experience in CAPA-like action tracking, quality systems, and audit readiness standards.
- Effective stakeholder management skills and the ability to motivate as a team player with strong communication skills.
- Good English and German language proficiency.
- Good presentation and content creation skills.
- Open to taking on administrative tasks.
