Role Overview

A motivated professional is sought to support downstream manufacturing activities related to GMP manufacturing of early-phase clinical therapies. This role entails overseeing purification and manufacturing processes within a GMP-regulated biotech environment. Collaboration with cross-functional teams is essential to executing manufacturing campaigns, troubleshooting technical issues, facilitating process improvements, and ensuring adherence to quality and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary contact for import, export, and distribution activities across the site.
• Coordinate comprehensive import and export processes, including customs instructions and shipment tracking.
• Review customs declarations and maintain precise trade and logistics records.
• Prepare essential export and shipping documentation, including proforma invoices and packing lists.
• Ensure all necessary import/export permits, licenses, and regulatory documentation are obtained.
• Oversee temperature-controlled transportation for shipments.
• Process customs declarations utilizing EDEC and Expovit systems.
• Monitor logistics activities for compliance with Global Trade Compliance standards.
• Compile, maintain, and analyze operational reports and key performance indicators.
• Ensure adherence to GMP, GDP, EHS, and trade compliance requirements.
• Support the creation and approval of GMP-related documentation.
• Utilize regulated systems to support quality and compliance activities.
• Collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders, logistics providers, and customs authorities.
• Contribute to process improvements and operational excellence initiatives.

Candidate Profile

Ideal candidates will possess several years of experience in Import/Export, Customs Operations, International Trade, Supply Chain, or Logistics, particularly within highly regulated industries such as pharmaceuticals or biotechnology. A solid understanding of international trade regulations, customs procedures, and compliance requirements is essential. Experience with GMP and GDP regulations is highly regarded.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience coordinating temperature-controlled pharmaceutical shipments.
• Familiarity with customs declaration systems such as EDEC and Expovit.
• Knowledge in preparing dangerous goods documentation.
• Understanding of Trade Compliance standards and global logistics operations.
• Proficiency with regulated systems such as Veeva or MEDS.

Contract Duration: 12-month contract position with extension possibilities.
