Transport Supervisor

Lead a High-Performance Logistics Operation

You will be responsible for creating efficient, compliant, and customer-focused transport plans while maximising fleet and resource utilisation to ensure operational requirements are consistently met.

Key Responsibilities

• Actively demonstrate leadership qualities in the day-to-day running of shifts, encouraging and coaching all staff.
• Maintain internal databases and follow up on all defects with the Fleet Department where applicable.
• Administer the vehicle and trailer maintenance program.
• Complete all depot daily checks during shifts.
• Maintain direct contact with drivers regarding daily performance and improvement actions.
• Provide information and support to the Operations Manager to enable the planning and management of depot payroll.
• Ensure all personnel files are up to date, incorporating license validation, personal details, and completed training.
• Coordinate the recruitment and training of employees.
• Assist in accident investigation and follow-up.
• Complete daily risk assessments of the yard and office.
• Identify and inform the Operations Manager of any maintenance and repair issues on the site.
• Provide information to the Senior Operations Supervisor and Transport Manager so that weekly KPI reports can be completed.
