Working across R&D, clinical, regulatory, algorithms, and manufacturing teams, you will play a key role in delivering innovative diabetes technologies that improve patient outcomes worldwide.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of CGM sensors, including enzyme immobilisation, anti-biofouling membranes, electrode surface modification, electrospinning, and advanced biomaterials.
  • Drive innovation in electrochemical biosensors, continuous biosensing, flexible electronics, and non-enzymatic glucose monitoring technologies.
  • Solve complex technical challenges including signal drift, sensor stability, biofouling, ISF diffusion, and wireless connectivity performance.
  • Design and execute validation studies, including in vitro testing, in vivo studies, accelerated ageing, and sensor performance evaluations.
  • Support product development from proof-of-concept through verification, validation, scale-up, and commercial manufacturing.
  • Collaborate with data science and algorithm teams to improve calibration models, signal processing, and glucose prediction accuracy.
  • Contribute to regulatory documentation and development activities supporting FDA, CE Mark, and other global submissions.

Key Skills and Requirements

  • PhD in Electrochemistry, Biomedical Engineering, Analytical Chemistry, Biomaterials, or another related discipline.
  • Proven years of experience in CGM, continuous biosensing, wearable sensors, implantable devices, or electrochemical biosensor development.
  • Strong expertise in electrochemistry, biosensor design, electrode modification, and biomaterials.
  • Demonstrated experience translating innovative sensor technologies into commercial products.
  • Hands-on experience with tools such as SEM, FTIR, EIS, XPS, Autolab, CHI, Python, and MATLAB.
  • Experience with design controls, verification, validation, and medical device product development.
  • Expertise in at least one of the following:
    • Enzyme immobilisation
    • Microfluidics
    • Flexible electronics
    • Electrochemical glucose sensing
    • Sensor materials and coatings

Preferred Experience

  • Commercial CGM product development experience.
  • FDA, CE, or NMPA regulatory submission experience.
  • Publications in leading journals such as Advanced Materials, ACS Sensors, or Biosensors and Bioelectronics.
  • Patent generation and technology innovation.
  • Experience within closed-loop insulin delivery systems, digital health, connected devices, or artificial pancreas technologies.
